Mary Perrino
Mary Perrino is a Color Finishing Artist in New York City, with a decade of experience. Her goal on every piece is to provide creative look design that elevates, but doesn’t overpower. Like Leonardo da Vinci's quote, ‘simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication’, Mary believes great color grading requires immense creativity, but also a sense of reservation. Her work is thoughtful and evocative, delicate and precise.
Mary has a lifelong fascination with images, technology, and storytelling. At age 11 she could be found shooting movies with her friends and editing in Sony Vegas. Naturally, she attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for Film & TV, with a concentration in cinematography. Her focus on the importance of postprocessing her images and video remained prevalent. After graduating, she began cutting her teeth in the world of independent color. Working for numerous agencies specializing in fashion, beauty, food, and commercials, alongside grading with indie filmmakers on narrative projects, she developed a portfolio and skillset with versatility and breadth. Her studio, coined "La Voglia", means a wish, desire, or longing. She has a constant quest for her idea of high-end perfection that can never be satisfied.
